Zee Cine Awards 2026: Mithoon And Palak Muchhal Set To Give Musical Tribute To He-Man Dharmendra – DEETS

Indian film fans are set for an emotional celebration at the Maruti Suzuki presents 24th Zee Cine Awards 2026, where music director Mithoon and singer Palak Muchhal will honour Dharmendra with a special musical tribute. The show will be held at the NSCI Dome in Mumbai on 28th February and 1st March, bringing nostalgia, music and memories to one stage.

The tribute aims to look back at Dharmendra Ji’s six-decade journey on screen, through songs that shaped eras and moved viewers. Organisers say the act will highlight Dharmendra Ji as both a Bollywood icon and a deeply humane figure, remembered for warmth, courage and grace that connected with fans across India and beyond.

Speaking before the event, Mithoon discussed the scale of the segment during a ZEEL press conference in Mumbai. Mithoon explained that the act will trace Dharmendra Ji’s musical catalogue, reflecting different phases of Indian cinema. Mithoon said, “This year on Zee Cine Awards 2026, Palak and I will be paying a tribute to the legendary actor Dharmendra. Some of the greatest songs of Indian cinema are from his legacy including timeless music directors like Laxmikant-Pyarelal, Madan Mohan, and the great Pancham Da. My mission is to present the history of Indian music through Dharmendra Ji’s discography in the most beautiful way to match its legacy”.

Dharmendra Ji’s connection with Zee Cine Awards goes back many years. Dharmendra received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Zee Cine Awards in 2005, and he said, “I don’t get awards very often, but whenever I do get them, my beloved fans always see themselves in me. Now when I hold this award, I will see my fans in it, so I dedicate this night to all my lovely fans”. Organisers say this year’s homage builds on that bond with viewers.

Curators describe the performance as a journey through emotions that Dharmendra Ji brought to every frame, from light-hearted charm to intense silence. The act will aim to show how Dharmendra Ji’s screen presence blended bravery, affection and simplicity. Producers also hope younger audiences, meeting his work through music, will sense why earlier generations saw Dharmendra Ji as cinema’s beating heart.

The larger Zee Cine Awards 2026 line-up at the NSCI Dome will mix glamour, performances and award segments over two days. Alongside Maruti Suzuki as presenter, the event lists Hell Energy Drink as Energy Drink Partner, with Rajdhani Dal, L’Oréal Paris Glycolic Gloss, Cadbury Dairy Milk and Balaji Wafers as Special Partners. The show plans to highlight achievements from across Hindi cinema released during the year.

Organisers say fans who wish to experience the Zee Cine Awards 2026 atmosphere at the venue can register for free passes for the live show scheduled on 28th February. Interested viewers have been told to send the word “FANS” on WhatsApp to 7700978488, after which further event pass details will be shared directly with selected participants.

For many viewers, the Zee Cine Awards 2026 tribute will act as both farewell and celebration, reminding audiences that Dharmendra Ji’s artistry remains alive in film songs, dialogues and memories. As Mithoon and Palak Muchhal bring those classics back to the stage, organisers believe each note will underline how Dharmendra Ji’s influence continues to guide Indian cinema’s emotional core.
