Anvesh Faces Lookout Notice: The Panjagutta police in Hyderabad have issued a lookout notice against YouTuber Anvesh in connection with a case related to alleged objectionable remarks about Hindu deities. The development follows a complaint lodged by actor and BJP leader Karate Kalyani, who accused the content creator of using inappropriate language in a video that triggered protests among certain groups.
According to a report published by Telangana Today on February 25, the notice was issued as part of efforts to trace Anvesh’s whereabouts and secure his presence for questioning. A case had earlier been registered at the Panjagutta Police Station based on the complaint. Police officials have indicated that further legal steps will depend on the progress of the investigation.
A separate report by The Hindu dated February 25 stated that Anvesh is believed to be outside India, prompting authorities to circulate a lookout notice. Officials said the move is intended to monitor his travel and ensure that he is available to investigators in connection with the case.
Anvesh Under Police Scanner After Karate Kalyani Lodges Complaint
The controversy stems from a video in which Anvesh reportedly criticised remarks made by Telugu actor Shivaji regarding actresses’ attire. However, certain references in the video were perceived as derogatory toward revered Hindu figures such as Sita and Draupadi, leading to objections from sections of the public. Based on these allegations, the complaint was filed in December 2025.
In the wake of the case, Anvesh released another video claiming that he operates two Instagram accounts and two YouTube channels. As per Telangana Today, his primary Instagram account was reportedly blocked in recent days. Police are also said to be considering approaching the management of Instagram and YouTube to obtain details related to his accounts as part of the ongoing probe.
The issuance of a lookout notice is typically a procedural step taken when law enforcement agencies seek to trace or restrict the movement of an individual in connection with a criminal case. Further developments are expected as the inquiry progresses.
