Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Today Episode: In today’s (January 28) episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, tensions rise both on and off the dance floor as emotions, rivalries, and hidden dangers collide. Armaan (Rohit Purohit) gently asks Abhira (Samridhii Shukla) not to force Vani to stay for the competition, but Abhira admits that if Vani leaves, she will miss watching Armaan and Myra perform together.
Wanting to ensure that everyone gets a fair chance and that no one feels left out, Armaan approaches the organisers and requests that his performance be scheduled last. At the same time, Abhira confronts the organisers about their poor security arrangements, revealing that she had to stop her own dance midway earlier just to protect Vani and Myra. Realising their mistake, the organisers finally agree to allow Abhira and Vani to perform as well.

Myra is stunned when she learns that Abhira and Vani will also be on stage. Vani confesses to Abhira that, in a moment of anger and insecurity, she threw away the pen drive that contained an important recording. Myra questions her impulsive act, and a guilty Vani apologises. Abhira manages to retrieve both pen drives, but when she and Armaan try to check them, they are unable to play the one containing Meher’s crucial recording. This makes the situation even more dangerous, as Meher decides to recover the pen drive at any cost and plans to harm Vani in the process.
Elsewhere, Kiara learns that Abhir’s concert has been cancelled due to his drug addiction, leaving her disturbed. Meanwhile, Tanya excitedly tells Manoj that her business idea has succeeded and insists that he join her company. However, Sanjay and Kaveri discourage Manoj, doubting his abilities and warning him not to take such a big step. Though Tanya urges him to follow his heart, Manoj ultimately turns down her offer and apologises, choosing to avoid a decision that could create future complications.
Back at the competition venue, Abhira lovingly helps Myra get ready and asks her to check on Armaan. She then turns her attention to Vani, making sure she is prepared and calm. Watching this from afar, Meher realises that Abhira never leaves Vani alone and understands that as long as Abhira is by Vani’s side, her plans will not succeed. Determined, Meher vows to separate the two at any cost.
ARMAAN DEFEATS ABHIRA IN THEIR DANCE FACE-OFF
The dance face-off between Abhira and Armaan begins, and Myra cheers wholeheartedly for both of them. Amid the excitement, danger quietly creeps in. Vani suddenly starts coughing when Meher’s men attempt to steal her bag. As she moves away to drink water, one of the goons follows her and tries to attack her. Vani and Myra struggle to defend themselves, but the man violently pushes Vani to the ground and snatches her bag before fleeing.
Myra immediately informs Abhira, who rushes to Vani’s side and finds her injured and shaken. Myra, terrified, clarifies that she did not push Vani, and Abhira reassures her with complete trust, saying she knows Myra could never do anything wrong.
Abhira and Armaan grow increasingly anxious about Vani’s condition, while Myra stays close to her, promising not to leave her alone. Though Vani tries to assure Abhira that she is fine, the incident leaves everyone disturbed. Meanwhile, the attacker reports back to Meher, admitting that while he managed to get the bag, he failed to seriously harm Vani because Abhira, Myra, and Armaan intervened. Surprisingly pleased, Meher spares him, even though the task was only partially completed.
Abhira is deeply shaken when she realises that Vani was deliberately targeted, understanding that this was no accident. Soon after, the face-off results are announced, and Armaan wins the first round. Myra is overjoyed, but Vani, already emotionally fragile, feels heartbroken and sidelined.
Armaan notices Abhira’s unease and asks if she is upset, but Abhira says that Myra’s happiness is genuine and she cannot bring herself to resent it. Overwhelmed by jealousy, fear, and pain, Vani insists that Abhira take her home as she no longer wants to watch the competition. In a moment of anger and despair, she throws the pen drive into a dustbin, unknowingly putting herself in even greater danger and setting the stage for Meher’s next cruel move.
