Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Today Episode: Tonight’s (February 23) episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai begins with Abhira (Samridhii Shukla) lost in a tender moment, imagining herself hugging Maira. Before she can stay in that thought, Mukti snaps her out of the dream and immediately asks if Abhira is upset because the principal might have scolded her. Abhira reassures her and insists she shouldn’t stress over it.
Mukti then slowly begins to reflect on her own behaviour. She realises she picked an unnecessary fight with Maira, and confesses to Abhira that she acted out of jealousy, particularly because Maira spoke fondly about her big family. This stirs Abhira’s emotions, making her think about Maira with concern.

Feeling guilty, Mukti admits she acted badly and that seeing Maira makes her feel insecure for no real reason. Abhira gently encourages Mukti to talk to Maira and mend things, but Mukti refuses. She even rejects Abhira’s suggestion to share pani puri with Maira and apologise, insisting Maira is rude. Abhira, however, calmly explains that they do not know what Maira is going through and that judging her so quickly is unfair.
Meanwhile, the principal cancels a scheduled meeting with Armaan (Rohit Purohit) and sends Maira to speak with him instead. Armaan apologises for not arriving on time and asks about the physical fight. Maira also apologises and admits she lashed out in jealousy when she saw Mukti speaking to her mother. When Armaan tries to probe into her feelings about her mother, Maira avoids the topic entirely.
On the road, Armaan spots Abhira but refuses to approach her because the past still haunts him. In a twist of fate, Abhira’s stole gets caught in Armaan’s car door, and he angrily throws it onto the road.
Elsewhere, Mukti decides to extend a small gesture of peace and offers pani puri to Maira, claiming her mother sent it. The gesture hits an emotional chord in Maira, reminding her of the times she once ate pani puri with Abhira and Armaan. Not wanting to let her emotions show, she hands the pani puri to her roommates, claiming she avoids it because of pimples, though inwardly she is bothered.
ARMAAN CAN’T GET ABHIRA OUT OF HIS MIND
At home, Meher tells Armaan it’s good that Maira’s issue has settled. Armaan once again drifts into thoughts of Abhira and distracts himself by talking about the garage owner. Meher urges him to leave for the day, but Armaan insists on staying and finishing his work.
Abhira, on the other hand, sees Maira’s picture and feels immense empathy. She believes Maira is suffering silently, yet she herself is unable to meet her because of Armaan. This upsets her deeply, and she grows furious thinking Armaan sent the custody papers through Vidya rather than facing her directly. She mutters to herself that Armaan has changed a lot.
Armaan, restless and unsettled, can’t get Abhira out of his mind. Back at the Poddar house, Madhav tries to convince Kaveri to join them for a game of carrom, but she refuses. The family discusses the recent issues, mentioning that Maira and Mukti have managed to sort out the matter.
Krish returns home, and Tanya tries to calmly discuss things with him. She invites him to join the family for carrom, and he agrees. Vidya asks about Armaan’s whereabouts, and Krish confirms he left on time. Manisha speculates that Armaan might be celebrating Valentine’s Day with a girlfriend. Vidya defends him, insisting he doesn’t have one. Manisha, excited anyway, decides she will celebrate Valentine’s Day.
The episode reaches an emotional close with Armaan desperately searching for Abhira’s stole, the same one he threw earlier out of anger. When he finally finds it on the road, he burns it – perhaps to burn away his conflicting emotions as well. Only after this symbolic act does he manage to calm himself and sleep peacefully.
