X, the social networking site formerly known as Twitter, is yet again suffering from technical problems preventing users from accessing the service.
On Monday, there were nearly 43,000 user error reports as of 8:34 a.m. ET on uptime-monitoring site Downdetector.com. About 53% of the user submissions indicated the problems were with the app, with 21% citing timeline issues and the remainder saying there were website accessibility problems.
Users encountered error messages trying to access X including one the read, “Something went wrong, but don’t fret — it’s not your fault.” Another said, “Something went wrong. Try reloading.”
The X Developer Platform site’s incident history log on Monday did not indicate any recent.
Within about an hour of the initial problem reports, service on X appeared to be restored for many users.
