The third Hindenburg Omen in six trading sessions should have rattled stock-market investors — the threatening indicator has preceded some major selloffs. Instead, the S&P 500

SPX, the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA and the Nasdaq COMP all have gained ground since the omen most recently emerged last Thursday.
