Hasnain Hyderabadwala, one of the prominent directors from the Mahesh Bhatt camp-who has directed actors like Irrfan Khan and Emraan Hashmi in the film The Killer-recently praised Bollywood actor Anurag Vyas after watching his performance. In fact, Hasnain Hyderabadwala is currently making a web series with Anurag Vyas, the shooting of which was recently underway at Film City and is set to release soon on the QUIK OTT platform.
The Anurag Vyas-starrer series Phir Bhi Tumko Chahunga has been among QUIK OTT’s most successful films, having been watched by over 150 million viewers worldwide. According to sources, this web series has turned out to be the highest business-grossing film on QUIK OTT and is being watched and appreciated by millions of viewers daily.
Director Hasnain said that Anurag Vyas has a simplicity in his personality reminiscent of Irrfan Khan, along with an extraordinary acting ability that breathes life into any scene. He added that Anurag’s understanding of the script and story, and his dedication to the director, make him a highly professional actor. Such actors are rare in Bollywood today, because most people come here to become heroes, not actors. But Anurag Vyas is carving out his own distinct identity, standing apart from the crowd.
Hasnain further remarked that the soil of Rajasthan truly yields gold, which is why such talented artists emerge from there and go on to make their mark across the country and the world.
He also said that Mahesh Bhatt still remembers his meeting with Anurag and sees a bright future in him.
According to Hasnain, Anurag is being widely discussed across the Bollywood fraternity and will soon be seen on the big screen.
