21,

six

the
domestic

office
with
moderate
collections.

According
to
estimates
reported
by
box
office
tracking
website
Sacnilk,
Vilaayath
Budha
has
earned
approximately
₹4.36
crore
net
in
India
during
its
first
six
days
of
release.
While
the
makers
have
not
issued
any
official
figures
yet,
early
trends
suggest
that
the
film
witnessed
a
gradual
decline
in
daily
collections
after
a
reasonable
opening
day.

The
film
collected
an
estimated
₹1.7
crore
on
its
opening
Friday.
On
Saturday,
the
collections
dropped
to
around
₹1
crore,
followed
by
₹0.75
crore
on
Sunday.
The
weekday
figures
saw
further
decline,
with
Monday
and
Tuesday
recording
approximately
₹0.35
crore
each.
By
Wednesday,
the
sixth
day
of
release,
the
film’s
earnings
stood
at
around
₹0.21
crore,
based
on
rough
early
estimates.
With
the
seventh
day
underway
today,

numbers

Thursday

Story,

Set
in
the
forest
region
of
Marayoor,
Vilaayath
Budha
revolves
around
a
conflict
between
two
central
characters,
Bhaskaran
Master
and
his
protégé
Double
Mohanan,
over
the
ownership
of
a
rare
sandalwood
tree
planted
years
ago.
The
narrative
explores
how
the
personal
rivalry
gradually
escalates
into
a
larger
confrontation,
with
legal,
social,
and
emotional
consequences.
Prithviraj
Sukumaran
plays
Double
Mohanan,

Shammi
Thilakan

Bhaskaran

film
is
adapted
from
the
novel
of
the
same
name
by
G.
R.
Indugopan.

project

originally
conceptualized
by
late
filmmaker
Sachy
in
2020.

direction
