The actors are set to take their nuptial vows in Udaipur, where they have stayed for three days with close family and friends. Their wedding reportedly features two separate ceremonies, each planned to highlight and respect the couple’s distinct cultural backgrounds. The first ceremony is said to be a traditional Telugu Hindu wedding, reflecting Vijay Deverakonda’s family roots. Later in the evening, a Kodava-style ceremony is expected, honouring Rashmika Mandanna’s Kodava heritage. Together, these rituals are intended to showcase both traditions, while giving equal importance to each side of the family.
For the uninitiated, the celebrations in Udaipur had begun earlier this week with a special Japanese-themed dinner for their guests, giving an international touch to the events. Besides, friendly volleyball and cricket matches follow also added a relaxed, playful feel for everyone attending the Vijay and Rashmika wedding functions. It was followed by a grand sangeet night wherein bride to be Rashmika reportedly delivered a standout performance, dancing to her popular track Angaaron Ka Ambar Sa for Vijay. After the lively music and dance, the couple also hosted a Haldi ceremony, keeping to familiar pre-wedding customs enjoyed across many Indian families.
