Valentine’s Day 2026: Anupamaa Actress Shiwani Chakraborty On Celebrating Love Everyday; ‘If You Are Happy…’

For actress Shiwani Chakraborty, who is currently seen in Anupamaa, Valentine’s Day is not just about romance or grand gestures. She believes the day is more about understanding the true meaning of love in everyday life. Sharing her thoughts, she says, “Valentine’s Day is often seen as a day only for couples, but I don’t look at it that way. For me, it is about love in all forms. It can be the love of family, friends, or even the love you give to yourself.”

She says that being single has never made the day feel incomplete. “I don’t think you need a partner to celebrate love. If you have people around you who care for you, that itself is a blessing. Even spending time with yourself and feeling peaceful is a kind of love,” she shares with a smile.

Talking about the pressure that often comes with the day, Shiwani says her perspective has changed with time. “Earlier, like everyone else, I also used to think Valentine’s Day is a very big and special day. But now I feel love should not depend on one date. If you are happy from within, every day can feel special,” she adds.

As an actor, she has been part of many romantic scenes on screen, but she believes real life is very different. “On screen, everything looks perfect and dreamy. But in real life, love is simple. It is about honesty, care, and understanding. I don’t believe in perfection. I believe in real connections,” she says.

When it comes to celebrating the day, Shiwani prefers keeping things simple. “I am a very simple person. I like doing small things that make me happy-maybe good food, good music, or just quiet time. For me, self-love is about feeling calm and content,” she adds.

Talking about relationships, she says her priorities have changed with experience. “Earlier, I might have thought about love in a more filmy way. But today, I value understanding, respect, and emotional support the most. A good partner is someone who brings peace into your life,” she concludes.
