Tu Yaa Main Box Office Collection Day 1: Filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar is back with a new project, a survival drama titled Tu Yaa Main. The film casts Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav as leads in a tense life-or-death story. The production is backed by Aanand L. Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Vinod Bhanushali and Kamlesh Bhanushali. Tu Yaa Main also brings Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav together on screen for the first time. Tu Yaa Main serves as the Hindi adaptation of the 2018 Thai film The Pool. Nambiar, known for Wazir, Taish, David and Shaitan, shifts from his earlier ensemble thrillers to a tight, contained setup here.
Adarsh Gourav plays Maruti, a rapper from Nalasopara, who lives far from elite social circles. Shanaya Kapoor appears as Avani Shah, a stylish influencer known online as “Miss Vanity”. The professional trip spirals when Maruti and Avani end up inside an emptied, very deep swimming pool. There is no easy route out, and help is nowhere in sight. The situation worsens when a live crocodile enters the drained pool area. The shoot becomes a brutal survival race as both struggle to stay alive. As Tu Yaa Main opened to decent reviews, it saw a slow start at the box office

Tu Yaa Main Beats Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan On Day 1
Interestingly, Tu Yaa Main has managed to beat the opening day collection of Shanaya’s debut film Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan which was around Rs 30 lakhs. In fact, Tu Yaa Main has recorded the highest opener for Shanaya and Adarsh.
Meanwhile, talking about Tu Yaa Main, Shanaya told PTI, “Adarsh introduced me to this technique in Atul sir’s workshop. At first when I heard it, I was like, ‘I don’t know if this is for me and if I can do it’. But I gave it a shot and it really helped. I watched a lot of videos of black panther, and that really helped me. I felt the way they moved was graceful, sensual, charming, and confident. My character Avani has that sensual side where you feel a little intimidated and she’s just gazing, she’s not looking at you in a way that you get scared, but there’s something about her look”.
