Tu Yaa Main Box Office Collection Day 1: Survival drama Tu Yaa Main marks filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar’s latest release, centring on two strangers trapped in a life-or-death situation inside a drained swimming pool, where an unexpected crocodile turns a routine work assignment into a desperate fight for survival. Tu Yaa Main features Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav as leads, sharing the screen for the first time. Kapoor plays a glamorous social media figure, while Gourav portrays an outsider from suburban Mumbai, and their clashing worlds collide during a professional shoot that quickly turns into a nightmare.
Adarsh Gourav plays Maruti, a rapper from Nalasopara, far removed from elite circles. Shanaya Kapoor appears as Avani Shah, a fashion-forward influencer who goes by “Miss Vanity” online. During a shoot, Maruti and Avani become stuck inside an emptied, very deep swimming pool with no easy exit. Tu Yaa Main is the Hindi adaptation of the 2018 Thai film The Pool. The survival drama is produced by Aanand L. Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Vinod Bhanushali and Kamlesh Bhanushali. The film adopts a tight, contained setup focused on two central characters. Interestingly, Tu Yaa Main saw a good hike on the second day on the occasion of Valentine’s Day.

Tu Yaa Main Beats Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyaan On Day 2
To note, Tu Yaa Main has managed to beat the second day collection of Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyaan (Rs 50 lakhs) and Superboys Of Malegaon (Rs 60 lakhs)
Meanwhile, talking about Tu Yaa Main, Shanaya told PTI, “Adarsh introduced me to this technique in Atul sir’s workshop. At first when I heard it, I was like, ‘I don’t know if this is for me and if I can do it’. But I gave it a shot and it really helped. I watched a lot of videos of black panther, and that really helped me. I felt the way they moved was graceful, sensual, charming, and confident. My character Avani has that sensual side where you feel a little intimidated and she’s just gazing, she’s not looking at you in a way that you get scared, but there’s something about her look”.
