The Raja Saab Song Launch Incident: Chinmayi Sripada Condemns Mobbing Of Nidhhi Agerwal At Hyderabad Event

The
Raja
Saab
Song
Launch
Incident:

A
promotional
event
linked
to
The
Raja
Saab,
an
upcoming
Telugu
film
starring
Prabhas,
drew
attention
on
Wednesday
for
reasons
beyond
cinema,
after
actress
Nidhhi
Agerwal
was
reportedly
mobbed
at
a
public
venue
in
Hyderabad.
The
incident
occurred
during
the
launch
of
the
song
Sahana
Sahana
at
Lulu
Mall,
where
a
large
crowd
had
gathered
to
catch
a
glimpse
of
the
film’s
cast.

According
to
an
NDTV
report,
the
situation
turned
chaotic
as
Nidhhi
Agerwal
attempted
to
exit
the
mall
following
the
event.
Despite
the
presence
of
security
personnel,
several
fans
allegedly
crossed
barricades
in
an
attempt
to
take
selfies
and
get
closer
to
the
actor.
Videos
from
the
venue,
which
later
circulated
widely
on
social
media,
showed
Nidhhi
appearing
visibly
distressed
as
security
staff
tried
to
escort
her
safely
through
the
crowd.
In
one
clip,
she
is
seen
holding
on
to
her
dupatta
while
entering
her
vehicle
amid
the
jostling.

Chinmayi
Sripada
Reacts
To
Nidhhi
Agerwal
Mobbing
Incident

The
incident
prompted
a
strong
reaction
from
singer
and
activist
Chinmayi
Sripada,
who
shared
one
of
the
videos
on
X
(formerly
Twitter).
In
her
post,
Chinmayi
criticised
the
behaviour
of
the
crowd,
describing
it
as
aggressive
and
unacceptable.
Her
remarks
quickly
sparked
an
intense
online
discussion,
with
users
both
supporting
and
challenging
her
views.

Pack of men behaving worse than hyenas.
Actually why insult hyenas. Put ‘likeminded’ men together in a mob, they will harass a woman like this.

Why doesnt some God take them all away and put them in a different planet? https://t.co/VatadcI7oQ

Several
responses
to
Chinmayi’s
post
questioned
her
framing
of
the
incident
as
a
gender
issue.
One
user
argued
that
such
crowd
behaviour
could
happen
to
male
actors
as
well,
suggesting
that
the
reaction
would
have
been
similar
if
a
male
star
had
been
in
the
same
situation.
Chinmayi
responded
by
drawing
a
distinction
between
general
crowding
and
incidents
involving
physical
harassment,
reiterating
that
the
experiences
were
not
comparable.

Other
comments
directed
personal
attacks
at
Chinmayi,
to
which
she
replied
firmly,
stating
that
her
criticism
was
aimed
solely
at
those
engaging
in
harassment
and
abuse.
In
another
exchange,
when
a
user
pointed
out
that
some
men
in
the
crowd
appeared
to
be
helping
protect
the
actress,
Chinmayi
countered
that
isolated
acts
of
assistance
did
not
negate
the
larger
issue
of
mob
behaviour
witnessed
during
the
incident.

Meanwhile,
the
makers
of
The
Raja
Saab
had
organised
the
song

as
part
of
the
film’s
