The Peninsula Paris is pleased to announce the appointment of Luc Delafosse as Managing Director, effective 2 March 2026. Mr. Delafosse brings extensive international luxury hospitality experience, having held senior leadership roles in key hotels in global cities including London, Beverly Hills, Paris, Monaco, Dubai and Riyadh.
Mr. Delafosse succeeds Mr. Vincent Pimont, who was recently appointed as the Managing Director of The Peninsula Hong Kong, the group’s inaugural hotel which opened in 1928. Under Mr. Pimont’s leadership, The Peninsula Paris continued to strengthen its position as a landmark address in Europe, while achieving strong commercial performance during and after the Olympic Games.
As Managing Director for The Peninsula Paris, Mr. Delafosse will oversee all hotel operations, lead strategic commercial initiatives, and steward the brand’s commitment to authentic and exceptionally personalised hospitality.
Commenting on the appointment, Gareth Roberts, Chief Operating Officer of The Peninsula Hotels, said: “We are pleased to welcome Luc Delafosse to The Peninsula Hotels. He has extensive experience in the luxury hospitality industry that makes him well-suited to steer The Peninsula Paris into its next chapter. We also extend our sincere gratitude to Vincent Pimont for his outstanding contributions in Paris, congratulate him on his appointment to our flagship property, and look forward to welcoming him to Hong Kong.”
Mr. Luc Delafosse added: “I am truly honoured and excited to join The Peninsula Paris as Managing Director. The Peninsula brand represents the pinnacle of luxury hospitality, blending timeless elegance with exceptional service. I look forward to working with the talented team in Paris to further elevate the guest experience and continue strengthening the hotel’s position as one of the capital’s leading luxury hotel destinations.”
Over the course of his career, Mr. Delafosse has worked with some of the world’s iconic hotels, including The Ritz London, Hôtel de Crillon Paris and Burj Al Arab Dubai. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Hospitality and F&B Management at Al Khozama Group in Riyadh, where he managed a broad portfolio of hotels (including asset management of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Riyadh) and restaurants in Riyadh such as the internationally recognised LPM (La Petite Maison).
Mr. Delafosse provided strategic oversight on operations, brand development, project management and asset management. His work not only strengthened guest experience standards but also delivered measurable performance improvements while supporting the creation and growth of new hospitality concepts and assets. In 2021, he was also seconded to the Maybourne Riviera to support the pre-opening phase of this exceptional luxury project in the south of France.
Mr. Delafosse joins The Peninsula Paris as the iconic palace hotel celebrates its 12th anniversary. The property is renowned for its exceptional dining offers, including L’Oiseau Blanc, which holds two Michelin stars.
