Thaai Kizhavi Box Office Collection Day 3: Radikaa Sarathkumar’s Film Crosses ₹13 Crore India Net In Opening Weekend


Thaai Kizhavi Box Office Collection: The Tamil comedy-drama Thaai Kizhavi, headlined by Radikaa Sarathkumar, has completed its first weekend in theatres with steady numbers at the domestic box office. The film, which opened in cinemas on February 27, has wrapped up three days of theatrical run, and as of March 2 (Day 4), early trade estimates indicate a cumulative India net collection of ₹13.65 crore for its first three days.

According to data reported by box office tracking platform Sacnilk, the film began its run with ₹2.65 crore on its opening day (Friday). Collections saw a significant jump on Saturday, with earnings rising to ₹5 crore, marking an increase of nearly 89 per cent compared to Day 1. The upward trend continued on Sunday, with rough figures suggesting ₹6 crore on Day 3. The weekend growth indicates improved footfall over the first three days.

With Monday (Day 4) now underway, the film’s opening weekend performance has given it a reasonable start at the domestic box office, while trade awaits the first weekday numbers.

Storyline, Cast And Crew Details Of Thaai Kizhavi

Directed by debutant Sivakumar Murugesan, Thaai Kizhavi is positioned as a comedy-drama centred on family dynamics. The story revolves around a paralysed mother and her sons, who initially anticipate her demise but are forced to reconsider their actions after learning that she may be in possession of a hidden fortune. The narrative blends dark humour with situational comedy, set against a domestic backdrop.

Apart from Radikaa Sarathkumar in the titular role, the film features performances by Singampuli, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Bala Saravanan, Ilavarasu, George Maryan, Muthukumar and Raichal Rabecca in key roles.

The project marks the maiden directorial venture of Sivakumar Murugesan. It is produced by Sudhan Sundaram and Sivakarthikeyan under the banners Passion Studios and Sivakarthikeyan Productions. Kalai Arasu has co-produced the film.

The technical team includes music composer Nivas K Prasanna, editor San Lokesh, and cinematographer Vivek Vijayakumar. Sound design has been handled by Suren G and S Alagiakoothan.

With its opening weekend now complete, the film’s performance during the weekdays will be crucial in determining its overall theatrical trajectory. As it enters Day 4 on March 2, trade observers will be watching whether the momentum seen over the weekend sustains in the coming days.
