Costa D’Angelo may have become a breakout star from Hulu’s Tell Me Lies, but now the actor is ready to tell a new story with a sensual flair.
D’Angelo will star in Morally Gray, a new immersive audio romance from audio erotica app Quinn, it was announced Thursday.
Set in Manhattan, Morally Gray will follow D’Angelo’s Sebastian Morgan, the designated fixer for his family’s powerful real estate empire. The feature synopsis reads, “Tasked with ending his brother’s whirlwind engagement to Maya, Sebastian quickly realizes the situation is far more dangerous than a missing prenup. As secrets surface, loyalty fractures, and the line between right and wrong begins to blur.”
The three-episode story aims to explore “how far you would go to protect the people you love, and what you would be willing to burn down to finally be free.”
D’Angelo’s narration comes amid his breakout success after starring as Alex in the Hulu drama, Tell Me Lies, which just ended after three seasons.
“I knew people were going to love Alex because I’ll tell you, everyone on set loved Alex…There were some crew members who were down bad for Costa, I’ll just say that,” creator Meaghan Oppenheimer told The Hollywood Reporter. “I was like, ‘girls are going to be shrieking in the streets when they see this man,’ because he’s just so talented and he’s so good. The character has such a quiet confidence; it makes me happy they love him.”
Ahead of the release of Morally Gray, Quinn’s social media have been teasing the actor’s upcoming narration with one clip of him notably tapping his wrist, something his Tell Me Lies character did to Grace Van Patten’s Lucy to help reduce her anxiety and calming the nervous system.
“He wasn’t at the wedding (or the gas station), but he’s coming to your headphones,” the audio erotica app teased.
Morally Gray marks the first release under Quinn Features, Quinn’s new banner for elevated, premium audio romances narrated by highly requested rising talent.
D’Angelo is the latest buzzy star to narrate a Quinn original. The audio erotica app has a growing lineup of Hollywood figures who have lent their voices for the app’s steamy stories, including Heated Rivalry stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, Andrew Scott, Tom Blyth, Katherine Moennig and Chris Briney.
The first two episodes of Morally Gray will premiere on Feb. 20, exclusively on Quinn.
