Team USA defenseman and Washington Capitals draft pick, Cole Hutson, was hit high with a puck in the second period against Switzerland at the 2026 World Juniors.
A point shot hit him as his back was turned, potentially hitting him in the neck. Hutson’s legs were moving on the ice, but he needed to be stretchered off.
Hutson was one of the top defensemen in the tournament last year and is the younger brother of Montreal Canadiens defenseman Lane Hutson.
