The United States finalized its 2026 World Juniors roster on Wednesday, releasing Seattle defenseman Blake Fiddler, as well as Islanders forward Jacob Kvasnicka, as the final cuts.
Team USA’s roster is set, albeit not without questions going into the tournament. The two-time defending champions enter the tournament with a strong roster, albeit not a gold medal favorite. They have one of the better forward groups in the tournament and return one of the best defensemen in last year’s event in Cole Hutson, but their goaltending is a major question mark.
They will rely on Hutson, Bruins top pick James Hagens, as well as premier college forwards Will Horcoff (Penguins), Max Plante (Red Wings) and Cole Eiserman (Islanders), among others, to try and get the three-peat.
