Taylor Frankie Paul reveals ‘Bachelorette’ fears in exclusive clip

Taylor Frankie Paul is opening up about her pre-Bachelorette nerves.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star and #MomTok creator is speaking candidly about her fears ahead of becoming the next Bachelorette in an exclusive clip obtained by Entertainment Weekly. In it, the 31-year-old mom of three can be seen sitting down with Bachelorette host, Jesse Palmer

“Taylor Frankie Paul, you’re unlike any other Bachelorette people have ever seen before,” he remarks. In a voiceover, Paul replies, “I’m just happy that I made the decision to get out of my world of dating, my bubble.”

The snippet also gives Bachelor Nation a glimpse at some of the men in the running to win Paul’s heart this season as a group of seven contestants shout her name from a literal rooftop.

And, while she may have been involved in a confrontation or two on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Paul confirms that she’s “ready to find my person” on The Bachelorette.

“On The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, there’s a side to me that isn’t shown. You see a lot of my chaos. My mess. My loud moments,” she explains. “Everyone deserves a second chance. If anyone knows that feeling, it’s me.”

That doesn’t mean, however, that it isn’t scary to put yourself out there again. “Of course, I have fear going into this,” Paul admits. “I’m out of my comfort zone, but I think I might find something I didn’t even know I wanted.”

She adds, “My life is going to change forever.”

Paul is the first Bachelorette in the series’ 22-year history to come from outside of the franchise. The reality star first made headlines in May 2022 when she announced on TikTok that she was divorcing her then-husband, Tate Paul, in part because they had been engaging in “soft swinging” with other Mormon couples.

The reveal was so shocking at the time that it led Hulu to tap Paul – as well as fellow #MomTok creators Jen Affleck, Demi Engemann, Whitney Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Jessi Ngatikaura, and Layla Taylor — to star in their reality series, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives

Paul’s tumultuous relationship with then-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen was depicted in the first two seasons of the show. The couple, who share a son together, ultimately went their separate ways in January 2025

And, now, Paul will soon be embarking on a quest to find love on The Bachelorette. “Will #MomTok survive me being on The Bachelorette? We’ll see,” she teases in the clip. “There’s a lot coming!”

Paul begins handing out roses when season 22 of The Bachelorette premieres March 22 on ABC. Watch EW’s exclusive clip above.
