Stacey Wilson Hunt has written a second chapter for My Hollywood Story.
After launching the podcast earlier this year at NeueHouse Hollywood, which shuttered its doors in September, Wilson found a new venue partner at Soho House West Hollywood, where she’s posted up for a new season inside the newly redesigned Luckman Club.
For the new batch of episodes, which started filming in late October, Wilson Hunt hosts in front of live audiences made up of Soho House members and industry guests. The podcasts are filmed and feature audience Q&As after the main interview. She’s back with the same team, including executive producers Sonia Slutsky and Wendy Greene for New York-based Hippolyta Films and Entertainment with cinematography, sound mixing and editing done by the L.A.-based Ramiro Cantu. Producers are Darrell Young and Janet Grayson.
My Hollywood Story season two debuts Nov. 26, with filmmaker Scott Cooper, who recently released his Jeremy Allen White-starrer Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere. It will be followed by a packed slate of high-profile guests, including costume designer Ruth E. Carter, Patricia Clarkson, Mimi Leder, Marlee Matlin, Kumail Nanjiani, Jay Roach, Charlie Sheen and Gus Van Sant.
The inaugural season of My Hollywood Story featured Billy Bob Thornton, Sharon Horgan, Nick Kroll, Elisabeth Moss, Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, Lesli Linka Glatter, RJ Cutler, Fred Armisen, Kate Hudson, Erin Foster and Sara Foster, Niecy-Nash Betts and David Oyelowo going deep on their Tinseltown backstories from the personal to the professional. The rich chats covered such topics as family origin, early education, formative training, career highs and lows, big breaks and everything in between to illuminate how the subjects found success in the industry.
“I launched My Hollywood Story with the singular goal of amplifying artists’ stories in order to inspire the next generation of talent. I’m honored that Soho House West Hollywood has given us such a beautiful new home to continue making the series, which feels especially meaningful during such challenging times in both our industry and culture at large,” Wilson Hunt tells THR.
Added Jo Addy, Soho House’s global film director: “We are thrilled that Stacey Wilson Hunt’s My Hollywood Story has found a new home at the Luckman Club at Soho House West Hollywood. This partnership embodies our commitment to fostering creative talent and providing a platform for compelling storytelling.”
Wilson Hunt has spent the better part of two decades as an entertainment journalist covering Hollywood. She currently serves as a contributing editor for The Hollywood Reporter and has previously served as an awards and special projects editor here. She’s had stints at Vulture/New York and Fortune and bylines in Vanity Fair, Variety, The New York Times, Playboy, Los Angeles Magazine and more.
The Columbia University masters grad also keeps busy as a prolific host of FYC and junket events for HBO/Max, Hulu, Netflix, Searchlight Pictures, Amazon, Disney/Pixar, SAG-AFTRA Foundation, Paley Center, Sundance, SXSW and others. Her hosting credits include Hulu’s One Burning Question, the official after show of the Emmy-winning drama The Handmaid’s Tale and SundanceTV’s Emmy-nominated roundtable series Close Up With The Hollywood Reporter.
