Sreeleela Graduates As Doctor: Actor Sreeleela has added a new milestone to her journey at the age of 24. The actor, who has been active in films for the past several years, has now officially completed her MBBS degree. Visuals from her convocation ceremony at DY Patil University have been circulating online, showing her receiving her medical degree.
In images shared widely on social media, Sreeleela is seen dressed in maroon graduation robes, smiling as she accepts her certificate on stage. A video clip from the ceremony captures the moment her name is announced, after which she walks up to receive the degree and later embraces her family upon stepping off the stage. She was part of the 2020 batch, and the ceremony marked the formal completion of her medical studies after six years of academic work.
Early Life, Film Career, and Upcoming Projects
Born on June 14, 2001, in Detroit, Michigan, to a Telugu family, Sreeleela was raised in Bengaluru. Her mother, Swarnalatha, is a gynaecologist based in the city. Even as she pursued a career in cinema, she continued her medical education, balancing shooting schedules with academic commitments.
Sreeleela made her screen debut with the 2017 Telugu film Chitrangada, appearing in a supporting role. She later took on her first lead role in the Kannada film Kiss in 2019 and was also seen in Bharaate the same year. Over time, she expanded her presence across industries.
More recently, she appeared in the Tamil film Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara, which released in theatres on January 10, 2026. The film featured her alongside Sivakarthikeyan. She also featured in projects such as Mass Jathara. In addition, Sreeleela gained widespread attention for her dance number “Kissik” in Pushpa 2: The Rule.
Looking ahead, Sreeleela is set to appear in Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan, scheduled for theatrical release on March 26, 2026. She also has a Hindi film project in development to be directed by Anurag Basu.
With her degree formally awarded, Sreeleela now moves forward balancing her acting commitments alongside her qualification as a medical graduate.
