Auburn has reached a six-year deal for South Florida‘s Alex Golesh to become the Tigers’ next football coach, sources told ESPN’s Pete Thamel on Sunday.
Golesh, 41, led USF to a 9-3 record this season. He will succeed Hugh Freeze, who was fired Nov. 2 and replaced by interim coach D.J. Durkin.
Auburn dropped to 5-7 with a loss to Alabama in the Iron Bowl on Saturday.
