“Bring her home,” Savannah Guthrie captioned an emotional video she posted late Wednesday, in which she, her brother Camron, and her sister Annie, spoke directly to both their mother and to anyone responsible for her disappearance.
“Our mom is our heart and our home. She’s 84 years old. Her health, her heart is fragile. She lives in constant pain. She is without any medicine. She needs it to survive. She needs it not to suffer,” the Today anchor said in the clip. “We, too, have heard the reports about a ransom letter in the media. As a family, we are doing everything that we can. We are ready to talk. However, we live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated. We need to know, without a doubt, that she is alive and that you have her.”
She added, “We want to hear from you, and we are ready to listen. Please, reach out to us.”
Nancy Guthrie was last seen Saturday, when her children left her at her home in Tucson, Ariz.
Both the family and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been searching for her since Sunday morning, when a church friend of Nancy’s noticed she didn’t attend service as usual and alerted the loved ones, who then searched themselves and contacted authorities.
On Monday, a public information officer for the sheriff’s department told Entertainment Weekly that “investigators believe she was taken from the home against her will, possibly in the middle of the night. Taken against her will includes possible kidnapping or abduction.”
Guthrie, who’s been absent from her NBC morning show and has scrapped plans of covering the Olympics, was understandably emotional in her family’s latest message, especially as her sister spoke.
She described Nancy as “the light that’s missing from our lives.” Annie praised Nancy for choosing “joy day after day, despite having already passed through great trials of pain and grief.”

Savannah had opened the recording by thanking everyone for their support.
“On behalf of our family, we want to thank all of you for the prayers for our beloved mom, Nancy,” she said. “We feel them, and we continue to believe that she feels them too. Our mom is a kind, faithful, loyal, fiercely loving woman of goodness and light. She’s funny. And spunky. And clever. She has grandchildren that adore her and crowd around her and cover her with kisses. She loves fun and adventure. She’s a devoted friend. She is full of kindness and knowledge. Talk to her, and you’ll see.”

Then Savannah spoke directly to her mother: “Mommy, if you are hearing this, you are a strong woman. You are God’s precious daughter, Nancy. We believe and know that, even in this valley, he is with you. Everyone is looking for you, mommy. Everywhere. We will not rest. Your children will not rest until we are together again. We speak to you every moment, and we pray without ceasing. And we rejoice in advance for the day that we hold you in our arms again.”
Camron reminded his mother to “stay strong.”
