According to media reports, Salim has been hospitalised in Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital due to age related illness and has been in ICU for close monitoring. While the exact cause behind the 90 year old screenwriter’s hospitalisation is still not known, but the news has certainly sent a wave of tension and concern not just across the Khan family but also the fans. So far, Salman Khan along with his family, Javed Akhtar, Sanjay Dutt were seen visiting Salim Khan in the hospital.

In a podcast with Hindi Rush, Aasif revealed how Salim Khan has been Salman’s biggest critic. “He is a big critic of Salman. He says things on the face, never sugarcoats, because his son is a star. He is a star in his own sense. Salman Khan doesn’t have the guts to speak in front of him. Salman respects his father a lot. I remember when Salman was young, and he was a star; he would fumble a lot while talking to his father,” Aasif stated.

Meanwhile, as per the last update shared by the doctors from Lilavati Hospital, Salim Khan had undergone as surgery and has been on ventilator with a steady condition. However, a fresh update from the hospital is likely to be out soon.
