Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan is reported to be out of danger and recovering after surgery at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. The 90-year-old writer remains under medical supervision, but family sources and visitors state that the condition is stable and steadily improving.
Reports from the hospital mention that Salim Khan underwent a medical procedure after doctors decided surgery was necessary. Following the operation, Lilavati Hospital released a medical bulletin about the health status. However, sections of the media reported that Salman Khan and relatives were unhappy about detailed information reaching journalists.
Daisy Shah Shares Salim Khan’s Recent Health Update
Bollywood actress Daisy Shah, who worked with Salman Khan in Jai Ho, has been closely following updates from the family. During a conversation with Filmygyan, Daisy said, “I couldn’t meet Salim sir, but I am constantly in touch with Salman sir and his family. Salim Sir is fine now. He is stable. The surgery went well, it was a success, and he is under observation, but he is out of danger.”
On the other hand, the Khan family has, according to these reports, stressed that Salim Khan’s health should be viewed as a private matter. Several film industry figures have gone to the hospital to show support for Salim Khan. Actor Ajaz Khan met the writer and later shared that the condition was improving with time. Media reports also state that Shah Rukh Khan called at Lilavati Hospital to check on the well-being.
Salim Khan was admitted on Tuesday, February 17, after a deterioration in health and noticeable body swelling. Doctors chose to keep the writer under close observation in the ICU before performing surgery.
