Salim Khan Health New Update: Veteran Hindi film writer Salim Khan is in Lilavati Hospital due to alleged age related issues. The 90-year-old is on ventilator support, and medical teams are monitoring the condition. Media reports state that the senior screenwriter was admitted on Tuesday morning, and hospital sources have described the situation as stable but serious, with continuous supervision in place. Once news of the hospitalisation emerged, members of Salim Khan’s family reached Lilavati Hospital quickly. Salman Khan was seen leaving the building after visiting Salim Khan. Other close relatives present included Arbaaz Khan, Arpita Khan Sharma, and grandsons Nirvaan and Arhaan. Actor Sanjay Dutt also arrived at the hospital, along with writer-lyricist Javed Akhtar, to check on Salim Khan.
Will Salim Khan Get Discharged Tomorrow?
Interestingly, while Salim Khan’s recent medical procedure was confirmed to be successful, there have been speculations about his discharge. The media reports have been speculating that he might be discharged tomorrow (Thursday, February 19, 2026). However, Dr. Jalil Parkar from Lilavati Hospital has confirmed that he will not be discharged on Thursday. In fact, he emphasised that while Salim Khan is on ventilator as of now, he might be taken off the ventilator tomorrow.

Earlier, talking to the media, doctor said, “Kal savere 8:30 baje Dr. Sanjeev Chopra jo unke family physician hain, unhone Salim Khan ko Lilavati me le aaye. Humko unka jo bhi treatment karna tha Pehle humne emergency me kiya. Unka BP kaafi high tha uske liye humne dwaiyaan de di. Uske baad humne dekha unhe ICU me observation ki zarurat hai, to humne unhe ICU me shift kia. Humne unko ventilator pe dalana pada kyunki hum nahi chahte the unki tabiyat aur kharab ho aur hume kuch investigations karne the jaise MRI, CT Scan, blood test etc. Aaj subah humne unpe ek procedure kia hai jo Dr Nitin Dange jo neurosurgeon hai, unhone kia hai. Jiska naam hai DSA. Ab unko wapas ICU me shift kiye hain. Procedure was successful. Aur ho sakta hai kuch der me ya savere tak hum unko ventilator se hatayenge”.
Meanwhile, Somy Ali shared an emotional message on Instagram while reacting to the health scare. “Hearing that Salim Khan has been hospitalised made my heart sink. To me, he was a father figure. Living in his home, I was treated like a daughter, included at the table, engaged in deep conversations about faith, where all religions were respected and celebrated. Praying for his strength and recovery,” she wrote on Instagram.
