Rinku Singh Father Death: In a saddening turn of events, Indian cricketer Rinku Singh’s father has passed away. Earlier this week, right before India Vs Zimbabwe’s second Super 8s match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 in Chennai, Rinku didn’t attend India’s training session at the MA Chidambaram Stadium as he flew back to his hometown after his father’s health deteriorated. “Rinku Singh has flown back home from Chennai due to a family emergency. He did not join India’s practice session at the Chepauk,” a BCCI source was quoted as saying by PTI.

Indian cricketer Rinku Singh’s father Khanchand Singh is no more. Singh’s father has passed away earlier today (Friday, Feb 27) after a prolonged and painful battle with stage-4 liver cancer, as reported by NDTV. He breathed his last at the Yatharth Hospital in Greater Noida.
Reacting to the heartbreaking news of Rinku Singh’s father’s demise, former cricketer Harbhajan Singh took to his Twitter (X) handle and offered his last respect. “Pained to learn about the demise of Shri Khanchand Singh Ji, father of Rinku Singh. This must be an especially difficult time for Rinku and his family, even as he remains committed to his responsibilities during the T20 World Cup.

Rinku Singh Father Death: Indian Cricketer’s Last Post With His Late Dad Goes Viral
Rinku Singh had often spoken about how his father, Khanchand Singh, played a pivotal role in shaping his life and career. For those unaware, his father worked as an LPG cylinder deliveryman to support the family.
Soon after Khanchand Singh’s demise, Rinku’s last social media post with his late father has resurfaced and is going viral on the internet. It was a Father’s Day special Instagram post, shared on June 15, 2025, and featured a picture of him with his father. In the second slide of the post, Rinku had posted a photo of himself with both of parents.
He’d also penned a heartwarming note that read, “Jo hamesha peeche khade rahe, unhone sabse aage badhna sikhaya. Happy Father’s Day ❤️ (sic)”.
