Actor Rajpal Yadav, recently released on interim bail in a Rs 9 crore cheque bounce case, attended his niece’s wedding celebrations in Shahjahanpur. The comedian joined family members at the mehendi ceremony, dancing with visible joy after walking out of Tihar Jail earlier this week.
The wedding is for Rajpal Yadav’s elder brother’s daughter, and the celebrations are being held in the family’s ancestral village in Shahjahanpur district. Relatives gathered for traditional rituals, where the actor spent time with close family members and greeted guests who came to meet Rajpal Yadav.

Rajpal Yadav had surrendered at Tihar Jail in connection with multiple cheque bounce matters linked to Rs 9 crore. The Delhi High Court allowed temporary relief, granting interim bail. After officials finished paperwork, Rajpal Yadav exited Tihar around 4.50 pm on Tuesday, according to a source.

Authorities said Rajpal Yadav was allowed to leave jail after paying Rs 1.5 crore to the complainant. Speaking to reporters outside Tihar, Rajpal Yadav said public backing had helped during the case and stressed that messages of support had come from people across India.
Rajpal, who is curently in Shahjahanpur district, said there should be “designated smoking areas inside jails, similar to facilities at railway stations and airports.” “It is often difficult to judge from the outside who is a hardened criminal and who made a one-time mistake. My advocate Bhaskar Upadhyay will officially respond to all legal questions,” he further said.
