Actor-model Poonam Pandey spoke about a recent visit to Vrindavan, where Poonam attended a satsang at Premanand Maharaj’s ashram. Poonam described the trip as a deeply spiritual experience that brought calm, devotion and a sense of inner change, saying meeting Premanand Maharaj in person “truly felt like stepping into something divine.”
Poonam explained that the connection with Premanand Maharaj’s teachings had started long before this visit. Reflecting on that bond, Poonam said, “I have always watched Premanand Maharaj ji’s satsang with my mother. Listening to his words have brought a sense of calm and clarity into our home. But meeting him in Vrindavan truly felt like stepping into something divine.”

During the Sabha at the ashram, the visit became more intimate for Poonam when one of Poonam’s questions was chosen. Health issues meant Premanand Maharaj could not answer during the gathering, yet Poonam stressed there was no regret, saying, “During his Sabha, one of my questions was selected. However, due to his health, he wasn’t able to respond. But I was not disappointed.”
Poonam also tried to explain the impact of hearing Premanand Maharaj speak to devotees. Describing that atmosphere, Poonam shared, “When Maharaj ji speaks, it feels as though God has chosen a voice to deliver a message. There is a certain purity and surrender that touches something very personal within you. You don’t just hear him, you feel him.”
Poonam felt that Vrindavan itself added a powerful spiritual layer to the entire trip. Sharing impressions of the holy town, Poonam said, “Vrindavan itself carries an energy that is impossible to ignore. There, you don’t greet people with ‘Namaste.’ You say ‘Radhe Radhe,’ and that carries a completely different vibration. The atmosphere feels sacred, and time seems to slow down,” she adds.
The impact of the journey left Poonam wanting to return and deepen that sense of peace. Looking ahead, Poonam revealed plans for another trip, stating, “I’m going back to Vrindavan this April with my mother, not just seeking answers to questions, but longing for that feeling once again.” For Poonam, the experience marked a continuing path of faith and reflection.
