The world of “Paradise” is getting a little bit bigger.
Hulu has set an official companion podcast for “Paradise,” hosted by Ryan Michelle Bathé. Bathé, who is married to star and executive producer Sterling K. Brown, guest stars in Season 2 in a mysterious role. The new podcast will premiere on Feb. 16 with a Season 1 recap, followed by weekly episodes.
Podcast guests through the season will include creator Brown, creator Dan Fogelman and actors James Marsden, Shailene Woodley, Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Krys Marshall, Jon Beavers, Thomas Doherty, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Enuka Okuma, Charlie Evans and Aliyah Mastin. Executive producer Jess Rosenthal will also be a guest, as will multiple members from the writing team — executive producer John Hoberg; co-executive producer Scott Weinger; producers Stephen Markley and Nadra Widatalla — as well as scientific consultant Jonathan Mijs, and author and bunker expert Douglas Rushkoff.
Video of the nine-episode podcast will be available on Hulu, Hulu on Disney+, Disney+, and YouTube, domestically. Audio episodes will be available on all platforms, dropping weekly; they will be distributed on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, SiriusXM, iHeart Radio, TuneIn, Amazon Music, Pandora, and distributed through audio channels in partnership with ABC News Audio.
“Paradise” Season 2 is set to debut on Feb. 23. Per the official synopsis, “Xavier searches for Teri out in the world and learns how people survived the three years since The Day. Back in Paradise, the social fabric frays as the bunker deals with the aftermath of Season 1, and new secrets are uncovered about the city’s origins.”
Fogelman, Rosenthal, Hoberg, Brown, Steve Beers, Glenn Ficarra and John Requa are executive producers on the series, a 20th Television production.
