It’s been more than a decade since Claire (Caitríona Balfe) first touched those stones and met a rugged redhead who’d change everything for her. And as Outlander prepares to launch its eighth and final season, Balfe and costar Sam Heughan are reflecting on their epic, romantic, and oftentimes dangerous onscreen journeys.
At this point, the two have finished filming, and fans will be happy to learn that their last scene was, as so many have been, just the two of them.
“It felt so right to finish it with Caitríona,” Heughan tells Entertainment Weekly for our latest digital cover story. “We were just so thankful for the great journey we’ve been on together.”
