Off Campus Renewed for Season 2 at Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video has given a second season renewal to Off Campus before the first season kicks off in May.

The college soap is based on the Elle Kennedy book series of the same name and, according to a synopsis, follows “an elite ice hockey team and the women in their lives, as they grapple with love, heartbreak, and self-discovery—forging deep friendships and enduring bonds while navigating the complexities that come with transitioning into adulthood.”

The first season centers on a romance between quiet songwriter Hannah, played by Ella Bright, and Briar University’s all-star hockey athlete Garrett (Belmont Camelli).

Off Campus captures the kind of emotionally charged, character-driven storytelling that truly resonates with our global Prime Video audience. With its passionate fan base, rich source material and an incredible creative team bringing Briar U to life, we knew that this series has the depth and momentum to continue beyond its first season,” Peter Friedlander, head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios, said in a statement on Thursday.

The early second season renewal for Off Campus follows the breakout success of another TV series set in a fictional hockey universe, Heated Rivalry, which streams in Canada on Crave and stateside on HBO Max in the U.S. market.

Off Campus series regulars include Mike Abdalla, Antonio Cipriano, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Josh Heuston and Stephen Kalyn. Series creator Louisa Levy adapted the books for the small screen and will co-showrun and executive produce the series alongside Gina Fattore.

Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen and James Seidman, Leanna Billings and Neal Flaherty also executive produce.
