An unwitting subject surrounded by actors starts working at a fake company and goes on a fake corporate retreat in the trailer for “Jury Duty: Company Retreat,” the follow-up installment to Amazon’s 2023 comedy hit “Jury Duty.”
On March 20, the new season debuts with three episodes on Prime Video, with two episodes dropping on March 27 and a three-episode finale on April 3.
“Company Retreat” introduces audiences to Anthony, who joins the fake hot sauce company Rockin’ Grandma’s and finds himself caught in the middle of a corporate takeover. While on a company retreat, Anthony learns that a private equity company is threatening to overhaul the hot sauce brand. The whole thing, of course, is staged, as Anthony is at the center of a “Truman Show”-esque prank.
“If they think they can just come in and do whatever they feel like they want to do, they’re in for a rude awakening,” Anthony says in the trailer. “I care about y’all. This is a family.”
The ensemble cast of “Jury Duty: Company Retreat” features Alex Bonifer, Blair Beeken, Emily Pendergast, Erica Hernandez, Jerry Hauck, Jim A. Woods, LaNisa Renee Frederick, Marc-Sully Saint-Fleur, Rachel Kaly, Rob Lathan, Ryan Perez, Stephanie Hodge, Warren Burke and Wendy Braun.
The series is executive produced by David Bernad, Lee Eisenberg, Gene Stupinsky, Todd Schulman, Nicholas Hatton, Jake Szymanski, Anthony King, Chris Kula and James Marsden. Eisenberg and Stupnitsky co-created the series, with Szymanski directing.
The Emmy-nominated first season followed Ronald Gladden, a juror unaware that the trial for which he is sequestered is a complete hoax. Marsden led the ensemble cast.
