Two-time Walter Cup champion Michela Cava is heading to Ottawa as part of a six-player trade between the Charge and Vancouver Goldeneyes announced Sunday night.
Forward Brooke McQuigge and defender Emma Greco will join Cava in Canada’s capital. In exchange, Vancouver has acquired forwards Anna Meixner, Mannon McMahon and 2025 second-round pick Anna Shokhina.
Cava, 31, was among the top free agents who signed with expansion Vancouver in June and scored one goal and five points in her first 13 games as a member of the Goldeneyes. Cava had 27 points in two seasons for the Minnesota Frost, and 13 in 18 postseason games.
