Archana
Dhotre,
a
contestant
on
MasterChef
India
Season
9,
is
competing
as
a
jodi
with
Rupali
Vikash
Jadhav,
representing
Mumbai.
She
comes
from
a
humble
background
and
has
been
cooking
professionally
for
local
customers,
preparing
tiffins
and
home-style
meals,
while
also
sharing
her
recipes
on
social
media.
Her
journey
on
MasterChef
is
not
just
about
food,
but
about
changing
her
life
and
giving
her
family
something
to
be
proud
of.
One
of
the
most
emotional
moments
for
Archana
came
when
she
spoke
about
her
daughter
watching
her
on
television.
She
said:
“I
used
to
make
so
many
cooking
videos
on
social
media.
People
would
like
them,
share
them,
and
give
me
good
comments.
That
made
me
happy,
but
it
never
felt
as
big
as
what
I
felt
that
day.
The
day
my
episode
came
on
TV,
my
daughter
called
me
and
said,
‘Mummy,
aap
TV
pe
bahut
achhi
lag
rahi
ho.’ That
was
my
real
winning
moment.
For
the
world,
maybe
it
is
just
a
show.
But
for
me,
that
one
sentence
was
bigger
than
any
trophy.
When
my
own
child
looked
at
me
and
felt
proud,
I
felt
I
have
achieved
everything.” Her
voice
choked
as
she
continued:
“My
daughter
told
me
that
her
friends
came
to
her
and
said,
‘Your
mother
is
a
celebrity.’
She
came
running
to
me
and
said,
‘Mummy,
everyone
knows
you.’
In
that
moment,
I
forgot
all
the
pressure,
all
the
मेहनत,
all
the
tired
days.
I
only
felt
one
thing
–
that
I
have
given
my
child
a
reason
to
feel
proud
of
her
mother.”
With
tears
in
her
eyes,
Archana
added:
“I
didn’t
come
here
just
to
cook
well.
I
came
here
to
show
my
daughter
that
her
mother
can
also
dream
big.
If
tomorrow
she
ever
feels
scared
to
dream,
I
want
her
to
remember
–
her
mother
once
stood
in
front
of
the
whole
country
and
believed
in
herself.
That
is
my
real
victory.”
