Mardaani 3 review: Rani Mukerji is roaring like a lioness in Mardaani 3 as she makes her return to the silver screens after three years. While she made us emotional with her performance in Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway, Bollywood’s Queen leaves us amazed with her fierce avatar in the third installment of Mardaani’s franchise. Is Mardaani 3 worth watching or not? Here’s our review of the film that promised to take the audience on a roller coaster ride! Did it deliver? Find out.

What We Liked In Mardaani 3?

Rani Mukerji is a treat to watch as she once again dons the role of a police officer in Mardaani 3. She is bolder, fiercer and edgier in the new installment, striking a chord with dialogue delivery and effective performance. The actress packed a solid punch, proving why no one can play Shivani Shivaji Roy better than her.

While Shivani locked horns with a rapist and murderer in Mardaani 2, she engaged in a battle with the beggar mafia in Mardaani 3. I really like the plot as it shed light on an important issue which cripples the society. Every day at the signal, we all see kids begging on the streets. While our heart sinks witnessing their turmoil, we are unable to provide them any respite.

This is where Mardaani 3 hits the nail in the coffin in the best way possible.

What We Disliked In Mardaani 3?

While the makers deserve all the applause for tackling a hard-hitting subject like human and child trafficking, I sincerely wish the writing team had worked harder on the script. There are moments when the film loses substance, but Rani Mukerji keeps the momentum alive with her performance.

If you have watched Mardaani 2, you would know that Mallika Prasad had to walk an extra mile to replicate the intensity of the antagonist like Vishal Jethwa. She did justice to her role but somehow, I couldn’t see the intensity in her eyes.

THIS Actor Deserves Special Mention

I went to the theatre hoping that the intense face-off between Mallika Prasad (Amma) and Rani Mukerji (Shivani) would steal all the limelight. However, it is Prajesh Kashyap’s power-packed performance as Ramanujan that leaves a reverberating impact. He has indeed set the silver screen on fire with his acting prowess. What an impactful dialogue delivery! I couldn’t help but gush over his performance.
