Mana ShankaraVaraprasad Garu Now On OTT: The Telugu action-comedy Mana ShankaraVaraprasad Garu has made its way to the digital space following its theatrical run during the Sankranti festive season earlier this year. Written and directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film features Chiranjeevi in the titular role, alongside Venkatesh Daggubati, Nayanthara, and Catherine Tresa. It was released in cinemas on January 12, 2026, aligning with the Sankranti holiday window.
Produced by Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela under the banners of Shine Screens and Gold Box Entertainments, the film blends elements of family drama with action-driven storytelling. The narrative centres on Shankara Vara Prasad, a national security officer whose personal life is fractured by ideological conflicts with his father-in-law. Years after separating from his wife Sasirekha and being distanced from his children, Prasad sees a rare opportunity to re-enter their lives. In doing so, he adopts a different identity, attempting to reconnect with his family while navigating unresolved emotional tensions.
As the story unfolds, his professional duties return when fresh security threats emerge around the same family, bringing action and personal stakes together.
The technical team includes cinematographer Sameer Reddy and editor Tammiraju, with production design by A S Prakash. The film’s music has been composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, while the audio rights were secured by T-Series. Co-writing credits include S Krishna and G AdiNarayana, with visual effects handled by Lavan and Kushan (DTM) and Narendra Logisa.
