Mahesh Bhatt On Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Completing 5000 Episodes: A Testament To Endurance, Goodness

Rajan
Shahi’s
Yeh
Rishta
Kya
Kehlata
Hai,
which
has
been
produced
under
his
banner
Director’s
Kut
Productions,
recently
completed
5000
successful
episodes
on
TV.
The
ace
producer
had
the
opportunity
to
work
with
veteran
filmmaker
Mahesh
Bhatt
when
he
directed
his
TV
show
Dil
Hai
Ki
Manta
Nahi,
and
the
latter
couldn’t
be
happier
about
this
milestone
that
Rajan
has
achieved.

He
said,
“Rajan
Shahi’s
5000th
episode
of
Yeh
Rishta
Kya
Kehlata
Hai
is
nothing
short
of
a
miracle.
It
is
a
testament
to
endurance,
goodness,
and
the
stubborn
fire
of
a
man
who
simply
refuses
to
give
up.
In
an
age
where
films
vanish
over
a
weekend
and
new
shows
die
like
stillborns,
this
man
has
kept
a
story
alive-breathing,
growing,
thriving-for
fifteen
unimaginable
years.”

He
shared
that
he
has
known
Rajan
from
his
early
days
and
said,
“He
stood
in
the
shadow
of
my
gaze-young,
hungry,
alert,
absorbing
everything.
And
today,
he
stands
tall,
not
because
of
noise,
but
because
of
character.
He
doesn’t
sing
his
own
praises.
He
doesn’t
clutch
at
fame.
He
doesn’t
strut.
He
works-quietly,
consistently,
fiercely.”

“People
talk
about
his
craft-but
his
true
power
does
not
come
from
technique.
It
comes
from
his
conscience.
Without
moral
clarity,
direction
is
just
manipulation.
Without
integrity,
longevity
is
impossible.
Without
a
sound
inner
life,
no
outer
success
can
endure,”
he
added.

He
is
certain
that
Rajan’s
success
is
not
a
fluke
of
fate
or
luck.
He
said,
“It
is
the
natural
flowering
of
a
man
whose
conscience
leads
his
craft.
People
misunderstand
direction.
They
think
it
is
about
cameras,
lenses,
and
shot
divisions.
But
without
moral
clarity,
direction
is
only
manipulation.
Without
integrity,
longevity
is
impossible.
Rajan
knows
this.
He
lives
it.”

Mahesh
continued
that
for
him
Rajan
is
not
just
a
successful
showrunner
but
a
treasure.
He
said,
“He
is
a
reminder
that
goodness,
resilience,
and
stubborn
devotion
still
matter.
I
am
proud
of
him.
Proud
that
he
once
stood
by
my
side,
learning
the
ropes.
Proud
that
today,
he
stands
as
an
example
for
the
industry
I
have
lived
and
bled
for.”

“This
milestone
isn’t
just
his.
It
belongs
to
everyone
who
believes
that
art
rooted
in
conscience
becomes
timeless.
Rajan,
you
honor
the
craft.
And
you
honor
me,
too.
May
you
go
further.
May
you
go
deeper.
May
you
continue
to
prove
that
art
led
by
conscience
becomes
timeless,”
he
added.

Asked
for
a
piece
of
advice
he
would
give
Rajan,
he
said,
“This
advice
comes
from
my
own
long
journey
across
the
fires
and
storms
of
this
business:
Help
people
now
to
find
their
potential.
Lift
them.
Illuminate
them.
That
is
the
only
legacy
worth
leaving.
Rajan
does
this
instinctively-he
carries
people
with
him
and
believes
in
them
long
before
they
believe
in
themselves.”

“That
is
why
Yeh
Rishta
Kya
Kehlata
Hai
has
endured.
Not
because
of
formulas

but
because
of
the
moral
force
of
the
man
holding
the
rudder.
At
seventy-seven,
when
I
look
at
him,
I
feel
the
simple,
honest
pride
of
a
man
who
once
watched
this
boy
take
his
first
steps
in
the
industry,”
Mahesh
ended.
