Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) Release Date: Pradeep Ranganathan Film Eyes February Theatrical Window

Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) Release Date: Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) has been navigating a prolonged and frequently revised release journey. According to reports, the makers of the Tamil science fiction romantic comedy are working toward a theatrical release in February, potentially aligning the film’s arrival with the Valentine’s Day weekend.

Written and directed by Vignesh Shivan, the film is set in the year 2040 and blends sci-fi elements with romance and humour. The cast is led by Pradeep Ranganathan, alongside S. J. Suryah and Krithi Shetty. The ensemble also includes Yogi Babu, Seeman, Gouri G Kishan, Shah Ra, and Malavika in supporting roles.

Key Technical Crew And A Release Plan Marked By Delays

The project is jointly backed by Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studio, with Nayanthara credited as producer and S. S. Lalit Kumar presenting the film. From a technical standpoint, LIK brings together several prominent names from the industry. Music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, while cinematography duties are shared by Ravi Varman and Sathyan Sooryan. Editing is handled by Pradeep E. Ragav, with production design by T. Muthuraj and visual effects executed by Mango Post.

LIK was initially slated for release on September 18, 2025. However, that plan did not materialise, marking the beginning of a series of postponements. The release was first pushed to October 17 to coincide with the Deepavali holiday period. Ahead of that date, the makers opted to defer the film once again due to a scheduling clash with Dude, another Pradeep Ranganathan-starrer that was lined up for the same window. At the time, the team stated that they preferred avoiding overlap so that both films could receive adequate theatrical space.

A subsequent release date of December 18 was announced, but that, too, was later deferred. According to a report by Cinema Express, the makers are now targeting a worldwide theatrical release on either February 12 or February 13, positioning the film just ahead of Valentine’s Day. The report notes that the team is preparing to complete the censor certification process shortly, after which an official confirmation on the release date is expected.

While repeated delays have marked the film’s journey so far, LIK continues to draw attention for its futuristic setting, ensemble cast, and blend of romantic and humorous elements. Industry observers are now awaiting clarity on whether the proposed February plan will finally bring the long-delayed project to cinemas.
