Manchester United’s stunning resurgence under Michael Carrick has seen them emerge as genuine contenders for a place in next season’s Champions League.
Under Carrick, United have won five and drawn one to climb to fourth in the Premier League table.
They have an excellent chance to maintain that momentum when they face a Crystal Palace side who have crept up to midtable with wins away at Brighton and home to Wolves after a run either side of Christmas that saw them dragged into the relegation dogfight.
The Eagles are also into the last 16 of the Conference League, in which where they will face AEK Larnaca.
