Liverpool can pull level on points with fourth-placed Manchester United with a win at home to West Ham on Saturday.
The Reds enjoyed a 98th-minute victory at Nottingham Forest last weekend and take on a Hammers side who have been resurgent in recent weeks, losing once since January 6 and have slowly been reeling in Forest.
A win at Anfield will see them climb above the fourth-bottom side, who visit Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday (14:00 GMT).
