Hollywood’s leading men have achieved maximum savvy with one red-carpet talent: showing off their high-priced watches.
That was evident at Sunday’s Golden Globes, where A-list actors acquitted themselves well in the art of ensuring their status timepieces were easily seen beyond the end of their shirt and jacket cuffs. Poses on the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton also were often angled to ensure the left wrist was prominently positioned in front. And why not? Being a paid ambassador or a “friend of the house” of a respected watch brand isn’t a casual undertaking.
Perhaps the surprise of the evening was Leonardo DiCaprio, who famously prefers to be low-key and selective about his public events. But it’s also clear that he’s a fan of One Battle After Another writer-director Paul Thomas Anderson — and that his support of the film throughout the awards season also will highlight another partnership, this one with Rolex. In February 2025 DiCaprio signed on as the newest Rolex ambassador, or “Testimonee,” as the brand refers to these partnerships. The Oscar-winning actor joined fellow Testimonees Martin Scorsese and James Cameron in the Swiss watch brand’s ongoing support of cinematic arts.

As One Battle After Another promises to continue to dominate the 2026 awards season, DiCaprio likely will turn up in a curated selection of Rolexes, like the Cosmograph Daytona he wore Sunday evening, a piece that debuted in 2023 to celebrate the centennial of the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. Worn with a Dior tuxedo and Manolo Blahnik shoes, the limited-edition watch — seen with the white subdials on black “reverse panda” dial — sported by DiCaprio is highly coveted, originally selling for mid-five figures and veering well into six figures in the collector market.
Both for the film and as a testament to his ambassadorship, DiCaprio engaged in a minor battle of his own just getting to the Golden Globes Sunday. Lane closures caused the street entrance to the Beverly Hilton to become overly clogged, with many attendees choosing to exit their cars and hoof it to ensure an arrival before the broadcast started. DiCaprio was among the stars spotted arriving on foot, but instead of skipping the carpet or taking advantage of an offer to jump to the front of the line, The Hollywood Reporter learned that he not only waited for his turn in front of the cameras, he also posed to ensure his Rolex was seen. That’s the definition of a brand ambassador who doesn’t take the designation for granted.

DiCaprio was far from alone in adding a pricey watch to a Golden Globes ensemble. Here we look at seven additional actors who appreciate the beauty of a fine timepiece — and worked Sunday night to make sure their Swiss watches were on full display.
John Krasinski and Glashutte Original

John Krasinski and wife Emily Blunt were among the most stylish couples on the Golden Globe Awards red carpet — and with his watch choice, the actor-director also revealed that he favors classic elegance. Paired with a Dolce & Gabbana velvet tuxedo worn with a wool turtleneck and Bruno Magli shoes, his Glashutte Original Sixties timepiece is a wholly traditional choice. The three-hand watch — meaning it only shows the hours, minutes and seconds — features a 39mm stainless steel case housing a silvered dial with gold hands and hour markers and is finished with a black exotic leather strap, resulting in a watch that checks all the boxes for a classic evening watch. $7,500 at glashuette-original.com

Omega invites a variety of stars to wear its timepieces during awards season, including longtime ambassador George Clooney, as well as newly named ambassador Glen Powell and “friend of the house” Colman Domingo. Among Sunday night’s most thrilling moments was Wagner Moura’s win for best actor in a movie, for the Brazilian film The Secret Agent. The actor paired his ivory Maison Margiela dinner jacket with Omega’s De Ville Trésor, a 40mm watch in stainless steel and a bezel set with 72 diamonds. $15,300, at omegawatches.com

Severance co-star Tramell Tillman has quickly established himself as a style star on red carpets, and that extends to his watch game. The actor wore a Zegna tuxedo that consisted of a navy velvet tuxedo jacket with a black shirt and pants, with the jacket accessorized with Boucheron’s oversized Plume de Paon diamond feather brooch, and completed his look with an Audemars PIguet timepiece that was equally artful, the Royal Oak “Jumbo” Extra-Thin Openworked, which highlights a skeleton dial in a 39mm case and bracelet of 18-karat white gold.
