La Vie Hotels enters Philippine market with two strategic signings | News

La Vie Hotels & Resorts has officially entered the Philippine hospitality market following the signing of two management agreements covering Hotel Casiana & Events Centre in Tagaytay and the Grand Casiana Hotel in Mexico, Pampanga, marking a significant milestone in the company’s regional expansion strategy.

The move follows the launch of La Vie’s Philippine-based office in early 2025 and reflects the group’s growing focus on high-potential leisure and business travel destinations across South East Asia. Together, the two properties strengthen La Vie’s footprint in key growth corridors while reinforcing its long-term commitment to the Philippines’ rapidly expanding tourism and meetings sector.

Tourism continues to play a central role in the Philippine economy, contributing USD 91.8 billion in 2025, the highest tourism GDP in ASEAN, accounting for 19.9 per cent of national GDP. International arrivals reached approximately 6.48 million in 2025, underlining the country’s appeal as both a leisure and business destination.

Hotel Casiana & Events Centre, Tagaytay

Located along the Tagaytay–Nasugbu Highway, Hotel Casiana & Events Centre Tagaytay sits in one of the Philippines’ most popular leisure destinations, known for its cool climate, views of Taal Volcano and vibrant dining scene. The 146-key, Scandinavian-inspired property features a heated swimming pool, children’s club, multiple event venues and the signature Crystal Ballroom, positioning it as a leading venue for leisure stays, weddings, social events and corporate retreats.

Grand Casiana Hotel, Mexico, Pampanga

Scheduled to open in Q3 2026, the Grand Casiana Hotel Mexico will introduce a 264-key, 20-storey hotel to one of North Luzon’s fastest-developing districts. Located approximately 30 minutes from Clark International Airport, the hotel is designed to serve the region’s growing aviation, logistics, business and international tourism markets.

Targeting the MICE and corporate travel segments, the property will feature large-scale conference facilities, a rooftop bar, speciality and all-day dining venues, a fitness centre, outdoor swimming pool and day spa. Its proximity to major infrastructure links, economic zones and the Clark Freeport positions it as a hub for corporate travellers, airline crews and long-haul visitors.

Industry confidence and growth ambitions

Jerry Sy, developer and owner of Casiana Hotels, said the partnership represents a major step forward for the brand’s long-term growth:
“We sought an operator who understands both owner priorities and guest expectations, and La Vie’s flexible, solutions-driven approach makes them the right partner. Together, we are developing properties that will set new benchmarks for leisure, social occasions, business and MICE in the Philippines.”

Jerry Xu, CEO of La Vie Hotels & Resorts, added that the agreements mark an important milestone in the company’s regional strategy:
“The Philippines’ hospitality sector is entering an exciting period of growth, driven by rising travel demand, improved airline access and continued investment in tourism infrastructure. We look forward to creating long-term value and contributing to the evolution of the country’s hospitality landscape.”

Ramesh Bappoo, Head of Hospitality Operations for South and South East Asia at La Vie Hotels & Resorts, highlighted the strategic value of both destinations:
“Hotel Casiana Tagaytay strengthens our leisure portfolio, while Grand Casiana Hotel Mexico places us at the centre of a rapidly expanding business and MICE district. We are excited to work closely with our ownership partners to deliver elevated guest experiences and sustainable long-term returns.”

With both properties located in fast-growing leisure and commercial corridors, La Vie Hotels & Resorts continues to position itself as a key player in shaping the next phase of hospitality development in the Philippines.
