Kristen Bell to Host SAG-AFTRA’s Actor Awards For a Third Time

SAG-AFTRA wants this. “Nobody Wants This” star Kristen Bell has signed on to once again host the 32nd Annual Actor Awards — the kudocast formerly known as the SAG Awards. Bell will take the stage on Sunday, March 1, live on Netflix from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in downtown Los Angeles.

Bell also hosted the 2025 edition, and was the show’s first-ever host in 2018. “I’ve enjoyed hosting the show every time, so it was an easy decision to come back for a third,” Bell said in a statement. “What I’m most excited for is the fact that I’ll be doing what every actor does best…sing.”

Bell was nominated last year for a SAG Award in the female actor in a comedy series field; she had the good graces to return as host this year even though she didn’t get a repeat nom. (Her “Nobody Wants This” co-star Adam Brody is nominated, however, in the male actor in a comedy series category.)

As Variety reported last month, Silent House Productions is back to produce the live Netflix telecast for a third time, while executive producer Jon Brockett has added the title of “showrunner” to his duties.

“Kristen Bell knows this show, she knows this community and she knows how to keep everyone entertained and laughing without ever losing the heart of the night,” Brockett said. “Having Kristen return to host feels like welcoming back a member of the family. One you actually want to hang out with.”

Bell is also an executive producer on “Nobody Wants This,” which ran its Season 2 in 2025 and will be back for a Season 3. Her other TV credits include “The Good Place,” “Veronica Mars,” “Parks & Recreation,” “Unsupervised,” “Deadwood” and “Party Down.” Her recent film credits include “The People We Hate at the Wedding” and “The Woman in the House.” Other films include the “Frozen” franchise, “Bad Moms,” “Like Father,” “The Lifeguard,” “The Boss” and “Hit & Run.”

Besides Brockett, Silent House Productions’ Baz Halpin, Mark Bracco and Linda Gierahn will also continue as executive producers. The 32nd annual Actor Awards streams live on March 1 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.

SAG-AFTRA announced in November that the Screen Actors Guild Awards will now be known as “The Actor Awards presented by SAG-AFTRA.” The move was made to better align the name of the awards show with the name of the statue that is handed out (something that is already the case with the Oscars, Emmys, Grammys and Golden Globes). In this case, the physical SAG Awards trophy has been known as the “Actor” since the launch of the ceremony in 1995.
