John Stamos’ wife asked if he’d show his penis in ‘The Hunting Wives’

John Stamos is sharing the blunt first question his wife asked him after she found he’d landed a role in the upcoming second season of The Hunting Wives

The 62-year-old Full House alum revealed that Caitlin McHugh was mostly curious about what parts of him would show up in the Netflix crime drama rather than the role itself.

“I told my wife — I said, ‘I’m gonna be on Hunting Wives,‘” Stamos said on Thursday’s episode of The Tonight Show. “The first thing she said was, ‘Are you gonna show your penis?'”

After the remark drew gasps from the audience, he added, “I’m like, ‘No, why?'”

“Are you?” host Jimmy Fallon asked. To which Stamos immediately replied, “Maybe.”

The actor stayed mum when pressed for any character details, simply saying, “He’s a wild character.”

In McHugh’s defense, it was a fair question given that the first season of Hunting Wives featured multiple explicit sex scenes with its many characters.

Earlier this week, Variety reported that Stamos, Twilight actor Cam Gigandet, and Winter’s Bone actress Dale Dickey had all been cast in Hunting Wives ahead of its second season. Stamos is set to play a character named Chase Brylan, Dickey will play a character named Zelda Moffitt, and Gigandet will play Gentle John Moffitt.

They join an all-star cast that includes Brittany Snow, Malin Akerman, Jaime Ray Newman, and Dermot Mulroney.

Based on May Cobb’s 2021 novel of the same name, The Hunting Wives follows Sophie (Snow) as she moves to the fictional East Texas town of Maple Brook. There, she befriends a rich socialite named Margo (Akerman), only to become entangled in her increasingly dangerous friend group.

A logline for the series’ second season reveals that it kicks off with Sophie and Margo “on the outs,” but that “soon enough, old secrets and new foes force them back together.”

It continues, “As they play their dangerous games, the question arises: Are they the hunters or the hunted?”

A release date for The Hunting Wives season 2 has not been announced. Watch Stamos talk about a possible penis cameo in the clip above.
