Jana
Nayagan
Censor
Certificate
Issue
Explained:
Thalapathy
Vijay
is
gearing
up
to
appear
on
the
silver
screen
one
last
time,
before
pursuing
a
full-fledged
political
career.
The
actor
is
teaming
up
with
director
H
Vinoth
for
his
final
outing
in
Tamil
cinema,
titled
Jana
Nayagan.
The
highly
anticipated
movie,
which
is
touted
to
be
an
action-packed
entertainer,
recently
ran
into
trouble
after
censor
board
refused
to
issue
the
certificate.
Jana
Nayagan
Censor
Certificate
Issue
Explained
If
the
reports
are
to
be
believed,
Jana
Nayagan
was
submitted
for
the
censor
board
formalities
a
few
weeks
back.
Initially,
the
Tamil
Nadu
censor
board
committee
reviewed
the
film,
and
suggested
a
few
cuts
and
dialogue
changes.
It
was
also
confirmed
that
the
Thalapathy
Vijay
starrer
might
receive
a
U/A
16+
rating,
considering
its
violent
visuals.
However,
the
censor
board
refused
to
issue
the
certificate
even
after
the
makers
made
all
the
instructed
cuts
and
changes
in
Jana
Nayagan.
This
move
by
the
board
prompted
the
makers,
KVN
Productions,
to
move
to
the
Madras
High
Court,
seeking
immediate
issue
of
censor
certificate.
However,
the
court
has
decided
to
push
the
hearing
to
January
7,
2026
afternoon,
thus
allowing
the
necessary
time
to
the
censor
board
officials,
to
submit
all
related
documents.
As
per
the
recent
updates,
the
censor
board
refused
to
issue
a
clearance
certificate
to
Jana
Nayagan,
as
it
received
an
anonymous
complaint
which
alleges
that
the
movie
has
certain
scenes
and
dialogues
that
hurt
religious
sentiments.
According
to
the
representatives
of
KVN
Productions,
the
censor
board
failed
to
issue
a
clarification
on
the
delay
and
failed
to
respond
for
over
10
days,
before
sendin
the
film
to
revising
committee.
