Jagadhatri on Zee TV is drawing strong attention, and Tapasya, played by Yesha Harsora, now sits at the heart of the drama. Recent episodes show Tapasya’s true nature surfacing before Maya Deshmukh, portrayed by Sayantani Ghosh. Viewers see a sharp contrast between Tapasya and sister Jagadhatri, played by Sonakshi Batra, as conflicts in the household keep rising.
Tapasya breaks away from the usual soft-spoken television image. The character is direct, impatient and feels entitled, often speaking without concern for anyone’s feelings. Tapasya behaves especially harshly with Jagadhatri, which increases tension inside the family. This rude, unapologetic attitude has turned Tapasya into one of the most discussed characters in the show.
Jagadhatri plot twist and Tapasya in Jagadhatri household drama
Currently, Tapasya’s anger targets Maya most of all. After Jagadhatri slapped Tapasya for insulting Maya, Tapasya’s bitterness grew sharper. Tapasya now wants to disturb Maya’s peace and has started weaving plans against Maya. Tapasya uses Gunjan and Maya’s former husband, Sharad, to create fresh problems in Maya’s life.
Parallel to this family clash, Jagadhatri and Shivaay, played by Farman Haider, run a dangerous operation. The pair plan a trap for Musa while trying to free several girls from danger. They manage to pull off the rescue, yet their victory does not resolve everything. Many mysteries still hang over them, promising more trouble and suspense ahead.
Yesha Harsora on Jagadhatri character Tapasya in Jagadhatri
Yesha Harsora shares that Tapasya is very different from Yesha’s usual behaviour. The actor finds this one of the hardest roles attempted so far. Yesha explains how playing someone rude, brash and negative requires strong mental preparation before each shot, because such emotions do not appear naturally in daily life.
Yesha says, “I genuinely have to convince myself to be this rude. Tapasya is extremely blunt and often badtameez in the way she expresses herself. That kind of negativity doesn’t come naturally to me, so before every scene, I mentally prepare myself to show that aggression and attitude. What’s interesting is that in most high-end household dramas, Tapasya is often the only one speaking the truth. Her way is harsh and impolite, but what she’s saying usually makes complete sense. That grey area makes her character very real and very engaging to play. Tapasya is extremely impatient, and that’s exactly why she keeps landing herself in trouble. Playing her has taught me the importance of staying calm and patient in real life. I’ve realised that reacting impulsively rarely helps, and sometimes taking a pause can change everything. I love playing characters that challenge me as an actor. Tapasya pushes me emotionally and mentally, and that’s what excites me the most. Roles like these help you grow, both professionally and personally.”
Through this role in Jagadhatri, Yesha learns how impulsive actions can worsen any situation, while patience can ease conflict. The show continues to mix emotional family drama with risky missions involving Jagadhatri and Shivaay. With Tapasya’s schemes growing and many questions still open, the daily 10 pm episodes on Zee TV keep building tension for viewers.
