Jack Antonoff has entered from rare Grammy air.
The singer, songwriter and producer became just the fourth person to win all four major categories — album, record, song of the year and best new artist — which he completed at Sunday’s show.
Antonoff was only missing record of the year, which he won for producing “Luther” from Kendrick Lamar and SZA at the 2026 Grammy Awards; he also had a second chance at the award for producing fellow record nominee “Manchild,” from Sabrina Carpenter.
He had previously won best new artist as a member of the group Fun, along with song of the year for the band’s hit tune “We are Young.” He also has three album of the year wins as a frequent collaborator of Taylor Swift, for her albums 1989, Folklore and Midnights.
The only other musicians who have completed that “Big Four” feat are Christopher Cross, Billie Eilish and Adele; Cross (in 1981) and Eilish (in 2020) were both able to achieve all four major wins in one night.
Antonoff was up for seven awards at Sunday’s show, with 11 previous total wins coming into the evening. He joined Lamar, SZA and their producing team on stage for the record of the year win but didn’t take a turn at the mic; instead, SZA took a moment to say amid the current political moment, “Please don’t fall into despair. I know that right now is a scary time; I know the algorithm is telling us that it’s so scary and all is lost. There’s been world wars, there’s been plagues and we have gone on. We can go on, we need each other, we need to trust each other and trust ourselves, trust our heart. We’re not governed by the government, we’re governed by God.”
