J.J. Abrams’ next movie is coming to Imax theaters this fall, Warner Bros. announced Friday.
The film, starring Glen Powell and Jenna Ortega, is officially titled “The Great Beyond” and will launch into theaters on Nov. 13. Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo, Merritt Wever and Samuel L. Jackson round out the starry cast for the film written and directed by Abrams. The filmmaker also produces alongside Tommy Gormley.
Warner Bros. also announced release dates for a couple of 2027 releases: Sam Esmail’s “Panic Carefully,” starring Julia Roberts, will debut in Imax theaters on February 26, 2027; meanwhile, Tim Miller and Keanu Reeves’ yet-to-be-titled team-up will launch on August 13.
New Line Cinema’s next installment in “The Conjuring” franchise, “First Communion,” is dated for September 10.
