Mumbai, February 17th, 2026: Sony SAB’s Itti Si Khushi tells the journey of Anvita (Sumbul Touqeer Khan), a young woman who has always stood strong for her family during difficult times. She has seen her father Suhas (Varun Badola) struggle with alcoholism and has faced many painful moments because of it. But now, as things begin to change, she must face a big decision about love, forgiveness, and her own self-respect.
In the upcoming episodes, Suhas returns home after rehabilitation, sober and truly changed. Seeing her father make a real effort to improve his life, Anvita begins to believe that people can be reformed. This change makes her think about her own marriage with Sanjay (Rishi Saxena) who in a fit of rage slapped her, after which she chose to walk away. As she watches her father try to become better, Anvita starts wondering if she should give her marriage another chance too as Sanjay pleads for her forgiveness. She feels confused and torn, wondering if she should protect her self-respect or give Sanjay another chance, hoping that he too might change.
Will Anvita give Sanjay another chance, or will she choose herself this time?
Sumbul Touqeer Khan, who essays the role of Anvita, shared, “For Anvita, this phase is extremely emotional and confusing. She has grown up watching her father struggle, so seeing him genuinely try to change gives her hope that people can transform if they truly want to. At the same time, she cannot forget the pain she went through in her own marriage. The slap wasn’t just an incident, it shook her self-respect. Right now, Anvita is torn between the hope that love can heal and the fear of losing herself again. As an actor, I could feel her confusion, on one hand she wants to believe that people can change, but at the same time, she is scared of trusting again. That mix of hope and fear is very real, and I think many people will connect with it.”
